Its a stupid business model.

I think it is quite clear, quite clever and quite sinister ...

Have multiple people (they are calling them 'agents') sign up for rare and desired instruments to maximise chance of obtaining one without being discovered
Fund them to buy the instrument if/when they win/their number comes up
Immediately flip it for a big profit and pay the agent for his part in this sickening process

That's the insidious plan ... stated clearly to Pantheon Steel

If he funds an "agent" to buy the instrument, what stops the "agent" from keeping it?

Now that would be a crying shame wouldn't it ;)
Not much honour amongst thieves ...

That would be a question for The Dirtbags ...
I would suggest that they re all in it together ... 'agent' may simply be another term for friend/employee/family member/co-conspirator
They have expressly stated that they have 'agents' on lists ... how they manage that and funds ... I have no idea - I am entering into the realms of speculation

Hopefully they NEVER end up obtaining any handpans by this method anyway ...

What its going to do is distance the makers with this crap ...

I'm all for paning up... but to have a biz plan that its root is lying & gouging public... oh my
My fear is to not be in compliance for the makers & handpan.org....that is the thing a value the most and do not want to put strain on that relatonship .....

I say make this closed site ... and talk to makers and the site screens all ...someone is going to have to be bonded .. andI say Spike does the backgroud check on people......and just hope he does not find out about the horse incident in 1974 - 75 in La Mirada Calif ..... or I'm gone .....

Yes I might make fun of the stuff that hurts here... but really closed site , screening , working with makers in getting buyers screened ....a prerequisite to getting quailty unit.......
