ebay PanART Hang scam in Poland

As a panless newbie, I was THRILLED to win an ebay auction for a PanART hang!!! In Poland, "bought for a developmentally disabled foster child in the past decade," rarely played, mostly stored. She knew nothing about the key/tuning, and seemed oddly unresponsive to my questions and exuberance. "Oh well, she's not a musician, just the foster parent." My joy crashed the next morning when she refused PayPal, insisting I wire the money directly to her bank. Her reasons got more and more outlandish, and finally there was nothing to do but report her. Seller was kicked off ebay. If Beatrycze resurfaces under another name, and wants money wired to account under the name Jana Baumgartner, don't do it.

Silver lining: through the next seller who had a PanART hang, I learned about Handpan.org and Handpangea!

Now that you're here, you'll probably have the opportunity to get to know other makers. If you feel like going East, I recommend you check the work of Roman Reva (Ukraine) and Anton Zakharov (Siberia). If you want to stay in the European Union, Aciel (France), Meraki (Italy), Ayasa (Holland), Jan Borren (Holland)... You'll probably get a much better price/quality ratio!
