I was high in the Alps last week surrounded by snow.. I thought of you whilst I played a new 2015 Aciel out to the Eagles and Bouquetins.

I just loooooove this news from you, Michael. And agree with you about Mowgli - hey; Mowgli - if you need a break from snow, you can cross the continent and visit me. :D

Michael, you are soooooooo busy. I look forward to seeing your photos. I've been saving the ones you posted.

I won't have time to shop till Thursday, at which time I'll set up an envelope with toilet paper and paper towels with butterflies for you. Planning carefully, so as to preserve butterfly wings in the best of health.

I played Saturday and Sunday at the cafe, thinking of you, and PanTamAnya sang so well that yesterday (Sunday), the cafe owner, Eric, commented on her sound. Nicely, of course. I trust you remember that she came to me in the first place because it was your idea this should happen, that you started out with making it happen, and that our great friend Phoenix managed things while you were busy. And that Colin was the postman who brought her to me. And, of course, that Victor built her. Always, I am endlessly grateful to have PanTamAnya as my friend and co-musician.

Somebody took a picture of me yesterday wearing my cordless headphones when things got too loud for me, as one young guy keeps raising the noise level.

And some of us just go outside when things get too loud. My hearing is bad enough already. :giggle: :D

Tomorrow I should have time to read more about Gabriel's lucky funeral; today - dentist! What fun!

Found the cordless headphone pictures.

Photographer Pooky C Fox, mother of the Very Loud Host, and photographer magnifica, caught my expression when her son had raised the noise level in the cafe by playing at excessive volume levels. This was about a week ago.

Things could be worse.

But I think the ultimate in ridiculousness is this one, taken yesterday, when again the noise level had risen beyond my comfort - here I am playing the wibble-wobble tones on the bottom of my Broken Kettle, to accompany local troubadour Gary Blain. I can't really hear what I'm doing, but it hardly matters.

Me as Kettlist; darbuka-style, adding wibble-wobble tones - apparently making sure I don't hear myself.

Photographer here is Gail Lesowski, of the host team for the day, Gals I Like.

Love your expression in that first photo, Carol!
Completely empathise with you, though.
Why do people think that "louder is better"? :hmm:
